Reflecting on the Journey: MBAtrek's Unforgettable Start at MDI Gurgaon

Welcome to MBAtrek's journey, where we revisit our incredible start at the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, five years ago. It was a momentous occasion that marked the beginning of a meaningful connection with future business leaders. Let's delve into the details of this memorable orientation week and the insights we shared with the enthusiastic MBA students.

In 2018, we had the privilege of being a part of MDI Gurgaon's orientation week, setting the tone for what would become a lasting relationship. Today, on the fifth anniversary of that pivotal day, we reflect on the start that laid the foundation for our continued collaboration with academic institutions.

A special thanks to Surabattula Trivikram, who organized the event with great thoughtfulness and depth. Trivikram, then a 25/26-year-old returning from his internship at Godrej Properties Limited, showcased remarkable leadership qualities. His subsequent growth in the HR domain at Marico Limited and current role at WinZO exemplifies the journey of a true People Manager, reinforcing the idea that such individuals are destined for their roles.

The event brought together nearly 250+ students in two batches, creating a platform for engaging discussions and insights. As co-founders, we shared our perspectives on what the incoming batch should focus on during their MBA journey. The response from the students was nothing short of amazing – a day filled with discussions, debates, questions, agreements, and disagreements. The engagement was so intense that we didn't realize how quickly the entire day had passed.

In retrospect, witnessing the students' enthusiasm and profound understanding of their MBA paths made us momentarily question our purpose. The management students demonstrated a keen awareness of what their two-year journey should entail. However, five years later, the need for guidance and mentorship in the dynamic business landscape remains. MBAtrek continues to be a valuable resource for management students across India.

As we commemorate the start of our journey with MDI Gurgaon, we express our gratitude to the institution and its students. The experience reaffirms the importance of mentorship and guidance in the ever-evolving world of business education.
